Lifegate Outreach Centre is privileged to be one of the host organisations for the 2027 CSC fellowship. The Fellowship is open to mid-career and emerging professionals working in the fields of environment, education, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH); science and technology; community development; public health; and public sector institutions. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to community development, social impact, and sustainable development within their respective countries. Preference will be given to individuals who are actively engaged in implementing programmes, influencing policy, building institutional capacity, or leading initiatives that align with the CSC development themes and have the potential to create a measurable impact upon their return home. We plan to host a three-month training programme for prospective fellows, featuring professional training, field visits, and engagement with community-based organisations in Walsall, West Midlands, and London. Activities for fellows will be centred on sustainable health initiatives, such as those promoted by Health Watch Walsall, Walsall Council Community Public Health Programmes, and others.

Lifegate Outreach Centre is committed to developing people, strengthening organisations, and creating lasting social impact through education, leadership, community development, and partnership. Our Commonwealth Professional Fellowship provides a collaborative learning experience for professionals from across the Commonwealth, combining academic insight with practical, hands on engagement. Through tailored training, mentoring, practitioner shadowing, study visits, knowledge exchange, and project based learning, Fellows gain the skills, networks, and confidence to address complex social and development challenges. The programme is designed to foster innovation, inclusive leadership, and sustainable solutions that can be adapted to local contexts, enabling Fellows to return home equipped to influence policy, strengthen institutions, and deliver meaningful change within their organisations and communities.
